Viking Hnefetafl Pieces, circa 700 - 800 A.D.

A collection of Viking Hnefetafl gaming pieces made of lead, discovered at a former Viking encampment in the U.K. Hnefetafl gaming pieces can be dated with relative certainty because some Hnefetafl Kings are embedded with a dated coin. I have a Hnefatafl King with an embedded 'Sceattas' coin from 710 - 760. These pieces are of equivalent age.
