Spanish Ivory-and-Wood Chessboard, early 17th Century

One of the oldest and rarest chess items in my collection. This board-box, with chess on the outside and backgammon on the inside, clearly shows Muslim influence, and is dated to the early 1600's. Size when opened is 52 cm x 52 cm.
