Neapolitan Cloth Doll Set, 19th or 20th century

Cloth doll set, probably Neapolitan, on a Catholic theme, wooden peg body, one side in red silk raised on lead bases the other side in white, kings and queens as monarchs with jewelled crowns, bishops in clerical dress with mitres, knights in "chain-mail" with helmets, rooks as turrets surmounted with flat toy soldiers, pawns wearing wide-brimmed hats, the king 9.2cm high.

Upon close inspection, this set appears to me to be older than circa-1900.
