Calvert Pattern Ivory Set by George Merrifield

A small unstamped ivory set. This pattern of set is known as the Calvert pattern, but I refer to it as the "Calvert early" pattern to distinguish it from another type of set that was made by the Calverts. The knights in this set appear to me to be definitive Merrifield knights, and my opinion is that this particular set was made by Merrifield. I have another similar style set in a stamped Merrifield box.
